SINGER KEITH ANDERSON FIGHTS CANCER IN MOM'S HONOR

Since Keith Anderson lost his mom to brain cancer in 2008, he has been driven to save other families from that pain, and his appearance at 7 p.m. Thursday at The Listening Room is part of that ongoing effort.

Songs for the Cure, a songwriters night to benefit fourth-grader Savannah Swandal, will feature more than a dozen of Nashville's most successful artists and songwriters. Swandal was diagnosed when she was 5 with Stage IV metastatic alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. This is her third bout with the disease.

This evening benefits Savannah who has Stage IV metastatic Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma--a very rare & aggressive type of childhood cancer--Rhabdo for short. KEITH SERVES AS CELEBRITY JUDGE FOR OSU BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Keith Anderson is coming to Stillwater this February to help OSU students raise money for scholarships. Anderson will serve as a celebrity judge for this year's battle, which features five local bands in competition and 2009 Champion, the Bo Phillips Band. After the winning band is announced, Keith will give a one-hour performance. All concert proceeds support the Cowboy Spirit Scholarship Fund.

Join Grammy-nominated songwriter and recording artist Keith Anderson in kicking off the Bellevue Family YMCA FiftyForward J. L. Turner Center's We Build People campaign with a January 11 concert at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre.

This is the third year Anderson, a member of the Bellevue Y, has performed to benefit the non-profit's We Build People campaign. We Build People dollars help keep the Y available to all by providing financial assistance to those who could not otherwise afford the full cost of a membership. One in three members of the Bellevue Y receives financial assistance for their membership fees, and Executive Director Laurel Wilson says the generosity of Anderson and other joyful givers helps make that assistance possible.
