47th Annual ASCAP Country Music Awards

It all begins with a song and earlier this evening the writers of country music's most performed songs of the past year were honored by The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). The 47th annual ASCAP Country Music Awards -- ASCAP at the Ryman -- were held at country music's mother church, the Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville, before an audience of more than 1,500 distinguished songwriters, top country stars and music industry leaders.

Bears tight end Greg Olsen will host the “Shake the Lake Music Festival” at Joe’s on Weed Street in Chicago on Friday, Nov. 13 at 8 p.m.

Bears tight end Greg Olsen has caught 10 passes for 94 yards and 2 TDs in four games this season. The country music concert will feature David Nail and Keith Anderson and benefit Receptions for Research—The Greg Olsen Foundation. Funds raised will go to organizations dedicated to breast and brain cancer research and treatment, as well as Children’s Memorial Hospital.

Keith Anderson helped out friend, Tennessee Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck, with his Vino Veritas fundraiser to benefit his Believe and Achieve organization, a nonprofit that helps educate and promote children who live in the foster care systems in middle Tennessee and New York state. Bulluck was raised in a foster family and Anderson grew up in a family that cared for foster children.
