FANS COME OUT IN FULL FORCE TO MEET KEITH AT CMA MUSIC FEST
06/15/09HOT TIME ON THE RIVERFRONT
06/15/09It was hot around the daytime stages in Riverfront Park this afternoon and we’re not just talking about the weather — although with highs around 90, fans were certainly aware of the heat.
People were packed shoulder-to-shoulder on the grass in front of the stage for artists including Keith Anderson, The Lost Trailers and Chris Young. Large screens on each side of the stage allowed people to still see the shows from blankets spread on the grass where the crowds weren’t so thick. Every once in a while a cloud would float over the sun and give relief.
Keith Anderson hit the stage a little before 3:30 p.m. dressed head-to-toe in black, the singer entertained audiences with hits including “Lost in This Moment,” which he wrote, “Every Time I Hear Your Name,” “I Still Miss You” and “Pickin’ Wildflowers.”
COUNTRY MUSIC WARMS TO SOCIAL NETWORKS
06/12/09
By Peter Cooper • THE TENNESSEAN
Hank Williams didn't tweet, and neither did Waylon or Willie Nelson. But while Nashville artists' social networking used to consist of beer at Tootsies or pinball at Linebaugh's restaurant, the information age has come to Music Row. Taylor Swift thanks MySpace when she gets awards. Jack Ingram is a Twitter regular. Lady Antebellum and Keith Anderson record "webisodes" for Facebook and MySpace.
KEITH ANDERSON GETS CARRIE'D AWAY AT MUSIC FEST
06/12/09A professional baseball player before he became a country star, Keith Anderson is a competitive guy ... and a prankster. When The Boot ran into the singer/songwriter at Wednesday's City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge in Nashville, he was asking20our buddies at Country Music Tattle Tale to borrow a sharpie. Why? So he could draw a mustache on Carrie Underwood -- a poster of her, that is.
"Y'all don't tell her I did this," Keith said to us with a wink, as he drew a handlebar mustache on the picture of Carrie.
