Columbia Nashville artist Keith Anderson spent the day yesterday at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field where he was invited to sing the national anthem and perform at halftime during the Steelers match-up against the Indianapolis Colts. Anderson also enjoyed meeting Steelers alums John Stallworth and Mel Blount, both 4-time Super Bowl champs, as well as CBS broadcasters Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.

KEITH ANDERSON HEADED TO HEINZ FIELD

Columbia Nashville artist Keith Anderson will perform the national anthem as well as a halftime set at this Sunday’s match up between the AFC North division leader Pittsburgh Steelers and the Indianapolis Colts at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. Kickoff is at 4:15 p.m. eastern and the game will be carried on CBS.

Anderson is currently on tour in support of his latest single, “Somebody Needs A Hug,” from his C’MON! LP.

Standing on stage at Oklahoma City’s Zoo Amphitheatre, country singer-songwriter Keith Anderson started talking about the time-honored tradition of cruising Main Street on Friday nights.

"It doesn’t matter where we go — New York, Florida, Nebraska ... wherever — everybody knows about dragging Main if they’re from a small town,” Anderson said before launching into his mischievous hit "Pickin’ Wildflowers.”

‘WOW, THIS REALLY HAPPENED’

Rising country star Keith Anderson is returning to Oklahoma Friday for a show in his hometown and concerts at two of the state’s historic venues.

"I can’t wait,” Anderson said in a phone interview earlier this week from Florida. "To get back to Oklahoma is always one of the coolest things I can do. ... I’ve got tons of family coming out to all three of those shows.”

KEITH ANDERSON STAYS COMPETITIVE

Long before he built his career as a country singer, Keith Anderson had his eye on professional baseball, and he snagged some interest from the major leagues, too.

Unfortunately, his first showcase for a pro team also destroyed his chance of ever playing in the big leagues. The Kansas City Royals asked him to work out for them, and he ended up tearing his rotator cuff at the beginning of the tryout.

KEITH WRESTLES FOR SECOND HARVEST

Keith arm wrestled an audience member for money at the Stars for Second Harvest event. Stars for Second Harvest, is a musical extravaganza benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, is returning after a five-year hiatus. The concert, organized by hit songwriter Craig Wiseman and presented by O’Charley’s, was held at the Ryman Auditorium at 7.30 PM on September 20th. KEITH HELPS MAKE FALL FESTIVAL 'GREAT SUCCESS'

The 2008 Fall Festival wrapped up Saturday night with a concert by Cumby band Exit 110 and headliner Keith Anderson. From all accounts this year's festival was "a great success."

Although Hurricane Ike cancelled the Relay for Life Barbecue on Sept. 13, the domino tournament enjoyed a large turnout.
